Editing El Problema de Hochen

Willkommen!

Hochen is a vaguely Eastern European-inspired fantasy village.

The village of Hochen is part of the duchy of Verdorben, ruled by Duke Verdorben (or, Mattias, Herzog zu Verdorben... "Herzog" being analogous to "Duke"). Duke Verdorben's seat of power is the castle Löwen Hohle. The bailiff of the castle is named Büttel.

Hochen is a small village, under the rule of one of Duke Verdorben's vassals - the Seigneur of Hochen, Stravit. Hochen is managed directly by the Wójt, Marten Rayla. The Wójt is a sort of mayor, the common administrator who oversees the daily activities for the noble Seigneur.

*** I have sworn to my duke & my baron to serve as a loyal and honorable vassal. I shall uphold their word and law in this land.

*** Always make sure I am in full harness for battle!
*** Always look out for a good candidate to be my page or squire.

*** As with sickness, so with evil. Cull the sick and the herd thrives.
*** With brother gone, I must see to my mother alone, any threat against her must be given a double share of punishment.
*** This village is symbolic of all the other villages in the duchy. If it falls to evil, the whole duchy will fall as well.

*** Practice Taxidermy when not on the hunt.
*** Always bag something extra for mom.
*** Always look for animal tracks.

** Beliefs
*** My cousin the abbot trusts me to deal with the corruption in Hochen, I will deal a just punishment to any and all wicked ones.
*** As a priest of our Most Gracious God I must protect the souls of my companions, I will not let any of them fall from Tudon's grace and blessing. 
*** Tudon is the light; Tudon is justice. I am an instrument of His Will, and shall serve Him until my dying breath.

*** Always punish the wicked in kind for their evil deeds.
*** Never take up arms.
*** Always pray for the souls of the dead when at service.
