'''Appearance''' At first glance, Elizabeth is a rather unassuming, even mousey teenaged girl, with light blonde hair and blue eyes. She dresses modestly and seldom raises her voice. But she is stronger than she looks; both physically and, perhaps more importantly, emotionally and mentally. Her voice can be even, but firm, and her posture tends to be somewhat rigid, betraying an unexpected degree of discipline. ---- '''Backstory''' Elizabeth's mother was a teacher and her father was a career soldier. Her upbringing was not abusive and not deprived of love, but it ''was'' strict and well-regimented, perhaps excessively so. Elizabeth took well enough to it, for the most part, but could not help but develop some escapist tendencies. Even as she made plans to eventually become a psychologist, she also dug into fantasy novels, manga and anything else that would give her an outlet into universes beyond her regular old life and (though she understood this was naive on her part) allow her to better grasp the variety of human existence. The same tendency helped her escape the Dream - and allowed her to embrace her new apparent purpose. ---- '''Personality''' Elizabeth is a much more complex person than most people would give her credit for. The usual surface impression, when she is not riled, is that of a rather shy, meek girl who prefers to avoid confrontations and go with the flow. Friendly and helpful enough, she nonetheless can be almost infuriatingly passive and sedate. On the other hand, she is a very good listener, and capable of giving some legitimately good advice. However, when put in a situation of adversity - or when acting as an Anchor - Elizabeth seamlessly slides into a subtly different role. She is patient, calm, and diabolically stubborn, barely flinching before doing whatever is necessary to get her way or to push her Pilot - or anyone else, for that matter - to excel, like she knows they could. Sometimes, this change is not noticed. At others, her sudden reserves of mettle can be downright scary and disturbing. All in all, it would probably be fair to call Elizabeth manipulative. However, unlike Denzel's, her manipulations are aimed at what she believes to be the greater good of whatever person she is trying to help. They have a great potential they could live up to if they really tried - and to survive, they might very well ''have'' to. Elizabeth is convinced that her mission in life is to help people get stronger, by any means necessary - and that this, specifically, is why she had arrived at the base. She is aware that her relative dearth of social interactions and lack of charisma might pose something of a barrier - indeed, that is why she engages in roundabout manipulations in the first place. Nor is she too self-righteous to acknowledge that she might sometimes be wrong, mortifying though that is. But what she does is necessary, and her work must go on. One might note - and she would not disagree - that she is simply imitating her parents on a larger scale. It must also be noted that she is hardly emotionless or inhuman - just very introverted and awkward. She does legitimately care for the people that she is trying to help, even if the way in which she goes about it could be seen as terribly twisted and misguided.
