Editing Emberek Empire

Established in the year 1400 B2E and lasting until 750 B2E, the Emberek Empire represents the only period in history in which the human race managed to unite under a single ruler. At its height, the Empire emcompassed all of the continent of [[Berek]], plus the human colonies of the [[Nagyto]] across the [[Golden Sea]]. The power of the Empire rested in the power wielded by the temples of the various gods, who together supported the hereditary title of Emperor as the gods' chosen representative. The holy crusades of the Empire, focused on extending the influence of the human gods, led to the extermination or flight of the other native races of Berek. The Empire was sundered when twin brothers each made claim to the throne, and the temples were divided in their support. One hundred years of civil war ensued, and when peace finally came the Empire was no more. No single power has since been able to gain control of Berek.
