Every age of the world has its shadow that eventually falls, a dark evil that threatens to consume the world. And during these times of darkness, heroes always rise to fight back the Evil. Thus it was promised by the gods even before the First Evil. Each age of darkness ends with the heroes triumphant and the world being rebuilt in the Dawning. Following these times, the world enjoys a brightness of peace and prosperity with the true evils of the world sleeping until the next Evil awakens to lead the darkness once more. 

==The Evils and Dawnings of the World==
* The First Evil : Grum'Sha
Grum'Sha led the orcs, ogres, and goblins in an all out war against mankind. The First Orc raised an army even as the unsuspecting world ever attempted peace with the orcs and goblins. When man, elf, and dwarf alike realized what was happening, it was already a dark red sky, a sign of untold bloodshed. 
* The First Dawning
Sren Ironfell, a particularly crafty dwarf under the guidance of a mysterious stranger only known as the Celestial Wizard- formed a group of nine. The Nine became the heroes of the Fist Dawning when their small group made its way into the Blackguard Keep and brought down Grum'Sha, scattering his forces and ending the First Evil.
