'''''Marauding Maidens''''' - The group of women that Verdant and Blue lived with in Sangoshu at the university.  Went on a few minor adventures back in the day.

* '''Avarae''': A woman and definitely not trying to play it down, Avarae is supremely sure of most everything she does.  This can make her look like she pays no attention to the wishes of others, but in fact she is quite a good judge of what people are feeling and merely appears as if she doesn’t notice because she believes people need to be pushed towards their desires.  This stems from her backstory: where Avarae comes from its actually honored tradition for princesses to go through a rebellious period, essentially finding themselves so they can return and become better rulers.  But Avarae dodged the trend by being such a good people-reader that everyone just assumed she was already prepared and thus didn’t do anything to encourage the normal ritual.  It wasn’t until the motions were made to set her up in a ruling position and arrange a marriage for her that she realized how much she’d missed out on having a part of her life where she was the one in control.  So she skipped kingdom and has been trying to live the life she wants ever since.  She has no powers, but it pretty good with acrobatics and a sword.  She is a bit obsessed over presentation, including fashion.

* '''Glory''': A street orphan adopted by Avarae after one of her adventures priot to meeting Morgan.  Glory is probably the sanest person in the Marauding Maidens (and that’s counting Morgan), and tends to suffer for it like all good sane men. But like many good sane men she both couldn’t do without the things to complain about and is also the team’s best voice of not doing something completely insane.  She’s also learned a lot about reading people from Avarae.  Combat-wise she’s a thrower: if she can get something small enough in her hand she can throw it to some sort of effect.  She’s also got a few minor magic tricks.

* '''Morgan''': 8 feet tall, practically all muscle, but really gentle, caring, and understanding.  Unless the patient calls for something else: Morgan is a trained psychiatrist and will listen to the problems of anyone who asks.  She’ll try not to analyze people otherwise, but let’s face it: she’s not any fun if it doesn’t happen.  Also she can transform into a shire horse.  This is a natural ability for her and both forms would be considered “true”.  Related to this she has become quite accomplished in horse-inspired martial arts, and has even come up with a few of her own moves.

* '''Noran''': Noran likes the simple things in life: punching out people who annoy her, partying it up with good food and even better alcohol, and waking up the next morning next to one (or more) doe-eyed damsels.  Of any gender.  Of course this doesn’t mean she’s stupid: besides necessary street-smarts she’s also reasonably competent in several fields of study.  In short she’s the sort of person Winters would think is an almost perfect Hero example.  Being related to Morgan she does have an animal form, in her case also being a horse.  She has no other powers besides.

* '''Winchester''': The only male of the Maidens, and so feminine (besides the cross-dressing) most people never notice.  The team “Chick”, but don’t underestimate him: he likes acting that way, but he doesn’t have to.  He’s actually got a variety of ghost-based powers.

'''Marlene the Death Knight''' - Darmaru's fearsome chief-of-guards, a death knight that kept getting resurrected every time she was killed. Presumed to have died for real without Darmaru to control her resurrection. Was in fact brought back by Luthor Snark in an experiment to revive the dead. Nowadays she's a lot more dangerous and a lot more insane. She travels together with the remnants of the exiled Everchill government.
