[[File:Red_zone.gif]] '''System Name:''' Tchkek '''Coordinates:''' 0406 '''Starport Class:''' B '''Trade Codes:''' IC Ni '''Bases:''' Naval, Research, TAS '''Gas Giant:''' Yes The trace atmosphere of Tchkek keeps most of its native mantians indoors. Which is where the TAS wants them. The scorched surface of Tchkek and soaring temperatures make this planet a near prison for the mantians. The hot temperatures combined with the thin atmosphere do produce more water for Tchkek's inhabitants than Kchk and the mantians are allowed to actually form their own government and laws here. These few factors are what make the burning rock the mantian empire's capital (though its population is really a fraction of that of the Kchk System. Those involved with the Federation or TAS will know that this supposed autonomy for the mantians is merely a facade. A massive naval station and the law making visage of a TAS base hang ever present on Tchkek's red-skied horizon. TAS knew they would have to keep a close watch on the mantian species and the proximity of Tchkek's gas giant make this system a convenient place to post the majority of their over-watching stations. Also present is an intensive research station poised with the intent to study every facet of mantian society and physiology. About the planet itself, strangely despite the negligible atmosphere and intense heat there are ice caps on the north and southern poles. It is here the mantian population gathers, leaving the crater scarred red-earth to remain an abandoned wasteland. Tchkek 0406 B511566-B N, R, TAS IC Ni R
