==History==
Rita's family was once part of a powerful political dynasty from Side 6, but they lost everything and were forced to move to Earth during its push for independence. They've been trying to rebuild ever since. Most of this effort has involved military service. Her mother joined the Federation military during the One Year War. She and her sisters did the same when they were of age, but she gave up on the idea when one of them was killed during the Laplace conflict. The other is a Mobile Suit pilot for Londo Bell. Rita, on the other hand, went back to school and began studying for a career in journalism. She currently works as an intern for Kai Shinden. Since dropping out of military training, Rita has experienced visions consistent with signs of Newtype ability. However, she has decided to keep this a secret. She does not want to end up being used as a weapon.
