One of the legends of the Kalashtar states that one possible method of ending the machinations of the Dreaming Dark is the coming of the next age of Dal Quor. Unfortunately this is common knowledge on both sides of the conflict and so in a preemptive strike the Dreaming Dark sought out birth stirrings of the next age, awaited its coalescence and bound it into the form of a teenage Inspired. Cabin Boy is aware of his origins and figures the safest place for him to be (also the most likely one that will get him back to Dal Quor where he can fulfill his destiny) is in the heart of Chaos that is the Forgotten Freedom. Also likes the Irony that the ship's name bears for his people. He is possessed of a Dalai Lama-like acceptance of others that often makes them take an uncomfortable look at themselves, stands about 5'4", is bald and looks Indian.
