Smig NE Razorclaw Shifter Druid 6/Rogue 1 A zealous (yet secret) member of the Ashbound, Smig is the closest thing Eberron has to an eco-terrorist. It is fortunate for the crew that the authorities have not yet managed to notice the incredible correlation between Forgotten Freedom stops and villages with wells poisoned by Contagion. It's fortunate for Smig that none of the crew have caught on yet either. While both shifters, Smig and Marish have very little in common. While Marish can be considered "charismatic", Smig is nothing of the sort. He's rude. He stinks. He's dirty. He has fleas. Most of the crew want nothing to do with him, which is fine by Smig. He has managed to keep his allegiance secret because of it. A druid from the Reaches, Smig is on the Forgotten Freedom with claims of "wanting to see the world". In reality, Smig sees the ship as simply a means of getting to places of civilization so that he can ruin them. Countless villages and hamlets the ship has stopped at have been overrun by plagues and infestations, had their magical wells dispelled, and have suffered from marauding horrid animals as a result. A master of poisons, Smig takes great advantage of his poison immunity by brewing poisons in the ship's galley. As of yet, nobody important has succumbed to them, but who knows when fatal contact poison may end up on the doorknob of the artificer? Smig's favourite poisons come from his viper animal companion, which he has trained to accept milkings. His viper, Snuggles, is liked even less than Smig by the crew. Most are unsure why the shifter is even allowed to remain on the ship in the first place, though many have to admit that the druid's potent abilities and poisonous arsenal have saved the collective behinds of the crew more than once. Aside from his combative abilities, Smig is also very good at predicting the weather, which is immeasurably useful for an airship. He also spends a great deal of time studying the ship's bound elemental, so the crew believes that if need be, the druid can be counted on to deal with it should it break loose. In actuality, Smig will be the one most likely to release the elemental in the first place when the Forgotten Freedom has outlived its usefulness to him.
