Her horns are prominent, curving out away from her skull and then back behind her ears. Her hair is long, full, and firey-red, and her eyes are a red-violet hue, covered by a pair of spectacles, which are more than a little incongruous with her shining chainmail and wicked-looking halberd. '''Bio:''' Hope is a tiefling, and a citizen of Nerath from before its decline. Her ancestors were, of course, nobility of Bael Turath, but that empire had been dust long before she was born, and it has little bearing to her other than as a thing that her kin speak of as either a source of forgotten glory or ever-remembered shame. For herself, Hope never found the past all that interesting . . . until the nightmares started. On her 18th birthday, she awoke in a cold sweat, her night having been haunted by visions of the Nine Hells. The devils there promised her both terrible torments and otherworldly pleasures, all in accordance with an ancient contract signed by her progenitors. Understandably distraught, she nevertheless dismissed it as a simple night-terror . . . until the next night, it came again. After a few weeks of this, Hope confronted her parents, who were no more able to answer the question of what contract she was to be bound to as she was; neither of them had ever experienced such a thing. Eventually the dreams became too much, and she set out to begin trying to understand them, by tracing her family's heritage. They outfitted her as best they could for the task; Nerath was mostly safe, but travelling to the ruins of Bael Turath was nothing if not risky. She traveled with a group of adventurers; glorified looters, really, but they were at least some extra protection for a girl of minimal training travelling into dangerous territory. But it wasn't long before only she remained; her companions having succumbed to the dangers of that city. Only by some accident of fate was she saved, becoming embroiled in the larger incident across times . . . Hope is not entirely aware of her own abilities; her psionics are essentially instinctive to her. As far as she's concerned, she's just a half-trained kid trying to encourage others as best she can to keep them moving.
