Raleigh Sparrow Robinson is totally a human transformed by a cruel mad scientist to create the ultimate infiltration specialist and is totally not an alien or from France! Ha ha, Coneheads humor!

(Slime is really an alien, from a species of evolved slime-molds who mostly live as secret freeloaders on the planets and ships of others. Slime was doing just that at a Twiceborn military base, newly built on the conquered planet she'd happened to be on when it was invaded, when she heard about "Project Reconnect". Something about restarting a gate lost on a planet that had successfully resisted an invasion. It wasn't her problem, but she found herself sneaking into the super-secret lab and listening when the scientists described how not to turn on the gate and make it explode. And.....she turned on the gate to make it explode, stepping through its brief window as the only way out.)

(Living on the streets of Gate City wasn't any different from her previous life. Mostly she kept to herself, until one day she ran into an old man in the park named Leo. Slime was sure he could see right through her act, but didn't do anything about it. Instead he just started telling her stories of a superhero called the Green Knight. Day in and day out, Leo just talked about how the Green Knight had just stumbled into the hero life, how there was no reason he had to other than his own feelings of compassion. And Leo kept talking to Slime, even when other people in the park thought he looked senile for talking to a cat.)

(And then, one day, Leo wasn't there. It was only when Slime wandered into Lots of Big Screens Street Junction that she heard the news report that philanthropist Leo Gunter Glazier had died and was the Green Knight. Something to think about......)
