''<< [[God Game Lite:Main Page|Main Page]]'' While making a list of all the problems a deity could face would be an impossible task, there are certain general ones that can affect any religion at any time. These problems are associated with the face cards. Drawing one of these cards gives 11 of the appropriate [[God Game Lite:Resources|resource]] as well as raising the associated problem by 1. Besides increases from the cards, these problems can rise and fall with role play. Generally, role play is the only way to keep them down. ==Page - Dependency== A high dependency means that the worshipers are counting on the deity to do too much for them. This negatively impacts the population growth as people begin to reproduce less and die from preventable causes unless the deity intervenes, which could easily exacerbate the problem. Lowering dependency without raising disbelief is generally a challenge. If dependency gets too high (10+), the worshipers may stop reproducing altogether, or may do other crazy things believing that their deity will protect them from any harm. ==Knight - Cult== A high cult means some portion of the population has begun to worship dark beings from other places. The GM should be creative with their reasons, but a desire for power is certainly a common one. In a world with active deities, this is obviously a dangerous idea, and the cultists will have taken measures to hide themselves, so simply smiting them may not be an option. Obviously, if they are worshiping something else, the player character is losing belief. If cult gets too high, they may succeed in summoning something... horrible... into the world, causing all kinds of chaos. Smiting such a creature may be possible, but shouldn't be easy. ==Queen - Schism== Schism represents when worshipers have conflicting interpretations of how they should worship their deities. This can negatively impact belief as some people may worship some idea that isn't quite in line with the player's character, begin to believe in the system instead of the deity or become disillusioned with the whole thing. If schism gets too high, it could lead to a civil war, an inquisition or something else unpleasant. This would generally effect the population's growth. ==King - Disbelief== Disbelief means that some worshipers are beginning to think that the deity is unworthy of worship. This might mean that they think the deity is not actually a deity, just some super-powered being claiming godhood. It might mean that they are just upset and refuse to worship the deity. Either way, the deity's belief is suffering. If disbelief gets too high, some of the population may convert to atheism, or seek out other deities to worship.
