[[Stars_Without_Number: Back_in_Black]] 1. Each Readied grenade takes up 1 encumbrance by itself. 2. When stowed, grenades can be carried in packages. A package of grenades is 3:1, so you can get three stowed grenades into one package for one encumbrance. The downside is that they're, like, double-stowed. Each grenade must be removed from the package individually. 3. The chart is wrong, the text is right. Grenades deal only 2d6. 4. Grenade Launchers. Well, why not? I'll allow it. The following things should be kept in mind. *You CANNOT carry these things in anything resembling civilization. Even in places where people go openly armed, you can't get away with having an underslung grenade launcher unless you are in an actual warzone. Actually? No more carrying grenades openly in public, either. *A grenade launcher adds one encumbrance to the encumbrance value of a mag rifle, spike thrower, void carbine, or similar. *They fire rounds which arm at 20 meters (you can't fire them at anything closer than that) and are pretty much direct-fire weapons with 50/150 meter ranges. Unlike thrown grenades, these detonate on impact rather than on a timer! The actual projectile can be fired out to 400 meters by arcing it, but they're wildly inaccurate at this range. I suppose under some circumstances you could find a use for that, but it wouldn't be any good for trying to pick off a specific enemy or group of enemies. *They can contain three rounds at once, equivalent to a modern Metal Storm 3G. It's better than the current normal military tech, but it's TL4 so whatever. *The launched grenades, unlike regular grenades, are loaded with high explosive warheads. They ignore the Armor of and can damage soft-skinned vehicles such as passenger cars. This is yet another reason you cannot use them anywhere outside of a war-zone. *Using them inside a space ship may also be a bad idea. Just a thought. *They're actually pretty expensive. You guys have enough money that it won't be an issue, though. If we haven't added an Armory to the ship then we will at the next opportunity, and that will cover it.
