The Metropoli Pillar of Untrammeled Brilliance was once a Starmetal Caste champion, famous for her efficient, powerful new weapon designs.  It was only fitting, then, that with the refitting of Autochthon she would incorporate her best weapon schematics into herself, becoming both an outer defense node and Voidfighter aerie.  Thousands of people man her action stations, mess halls, loading bays, and barracks.  Holographic avatars of Pillar can be found at key locations throughout herself, and she deploys a physical avatar upon occasion to confer with General Narikon in council.
