== Background ==
17-year-old Hannah is the youngest in her family, with two older brothers who are currently away at uni. Her dad's a moderately prosperous fisherman, owning one boat and co-owning two more. Mum's a teacher at the high school. They have a house on Wyllie Street, two blocks over from the school. 

Hannie's always been a tomboy, roughhousing with her brothers from an early age. She joined the school's field hockey team because the football team doesn't give you clubs. Contrary to the usual stereotype, she isn't afraid of girling it up when the occasion calls for it. She's a barely adequate student with a C-average.

Hannah can be brash and tactless, but she generally means well and doesn't want to hurt anybody. She has a huge crush on Trevor Ryan, a year 12 boy on the rugby team.
