'''Greater Deity''' '''Symbol:''' Star '''Alignment:''' Effectively Neutral '''Portfolio:''' Prophecy, salvation, utopian efforts '''Worshipers:''' Missionaries, prophets, anyone else '''Cleric Alignments:''' NG, LN, N, CN, NE, possibly others '''Domains:''' Harus has been known to grant any of the following Domains to any of his clerics: Destruction, Glory, Healing, Knowledge, Luck, Protection, and War. He grants other Domains based on the cleric's alignment: Good: Community, Good Lawful: Law, Nobility Chaotic: Chaos, Trickery Evil: Death, Evil '''Favored Weapon:''' Dagger '''Description:''' Harus is the prophecied one, the god who will walk among humans and set all the worlds ills to rights. Prophets have lauded his name and urge people to live as clean and wholesome a life as they can in readiness for his arrival. The problem with this is that the prophets often vary wildly in their opinions on what exactly Harus will do and what he stands for. So some see him as a god of law and order, others see him as a scourge of corruption within the state, some say he is a god of war and others say that he is just one big bag of hugginess. So there are many churches to Harus, each following a different alignment, each having different domains, each having a different class of worshipper and each expecting different things from their worshippers. The one things that the various factions agree on (and please note that there are no factions, just proper and improper methods of worship) is that Harus is coming, the teachings of the prophet are his will and all the other gods are wrong because Harus has promised to set thing right while they don't care. The lighthearted bit comes in when a worshipper of Harus the War God is in a foreign land and ends up seeking healing or assistance from the local Harus clapping and singing group, or when a Paladin of Harus the Just has to face the fact that the King was assassinated by a cleric of Harus the Vengeful Hand. ''Metaphysical Note:'' Harus may be an unusually accepting and withdrawn Neutral god, he may be various gods all masquerading as the same one, or he may not exist at all (which would imply that all of his clerics are really drawing power from the abstract ideal of the Harus that they imagine to exist). No mortal knows, and if the gods do, they're keeping it to themselves.
