==Proverbs among our people== In a good troupe, even the ringmaster takes a turn cleaning up after the elephants. " Traditional I'd rather have a bottle in front of me then a frontal lobotomy. Traditional Move. You are not a tree.Traditional If a person makes you laugh or shriek, they are welcome in my circus. It a person make you cry, they belong in politics." Ringmaster Zachary. ==Origins== Hepplewhite's Circus and Grand Revuse is an ancient traveleing curcus that has been traveling shadow for unknown years. Who the original Hepplewhite is is not known to the public. The current Ringmaster is Zachary Amberson Hepplewhite. The son of Sir Franklin Amberson and Dame Rashida Alsala Dweena Hepplewhite. The Circus travels shadow and its appearance and texture take on whatever the common look for such groups does in the shadows they travel in. Along the way they pick up acts, troupes, freaks, animals and diverse other elements. It is a safe environment for many people who have found themself out of step in their own worlds. ==Individuals== * Amberson Hepplewhite. Ringmaster. *Doctor Lens Parsons. *Bluto Buick. A Steve. Nearly always within shouting distance of Ringmaster Zachary. (Zachary's Elite) ==Acts or Troupes== The circus is divided into 5 groups in a general fashion and people may belong to many of them. Wearing two or three hats is not unsual. *Circus *Carnival *Animal Park *Stevedors or the Steves *Cast ===Medical Bus=== Dr. Len Parsons ===Rodak Raceways=== Fort Garland, Colorado The Arco Boys began on an Earth world as a Trucking company of 10 big rigs hauling tankers of gasoline. IN a tiny crossroad town called Fort Garland, Colorado they were effected by a worldwide magical event called the Change. Half of the people of the world disappeared. The ones that remained either remained human, or changed into mythical creatures. Most became either Elves, Dwarves, or Orcs. Some became a wide variety of magical creatures. In time they hooked up with a shadow walker, Rafe, who helped them flee their war-torn world. ===Members=== *Rodak; Dwarf, Male, Company President **Fighter. *Argile; Dwarf, Arco Boys *Kip; Dwarf, Arco Boys *Pipil; Dwarf, Arco Boys ===Maandansers=== The Maandanser are from a vibrant world that prides its self on acrobatic combat and fine dining. Racially they have Chaos Ranked Stats Acrobatic combat specialists. ====Zachary describes the Moon Meal of the Maandansers==== As they approach Zach tells him, "This is Moon Meal. The camp is run by the Maandansers-the Moon Dancers. They are a family of strongmen and strongwomen; sword jugglers, archers and arrow catchers. Javelin Dancers. Knife throwers and catchers. there are about 60 regulars in their troupe and another 60 or so that rotate from their home world. I got them in a world where military circus acts are their highest military style. Think of them Green Barrett or SAS who behave as circus performers. In their world the sun is invisible, its heat like any earth and the plants drink the invisible light like and plant on a sunny world. They have 5 moons and they worship them all in turn, after a fashion. " "However, tonight we indulge in their other passion. They are cooks. They drive 30 big rigs in the caravan. All are set up for hydroponics to provide for from their home worlds. Heavy on mushrooms, onions and moon snake. Moon snakes are a beef animal of their world. Harvested between 15 to 30 meters, a meter across, they gut like a sheet of steak rolled around a central spine. Taste great. It marinates for 3 to 30 days in different concoctions. You'll pick up a shiskabob skewer, and pick among meat plates. I'll order first time. They stack it carrot, meat, onion, meat, mushroom, meat, something different, meat, mushroom, meat, onion, meat, carrot. The meat portions are chunks the size of a thumb. Then they put it on the fire for about 1 minute and off you go.” “Their rule is have as many as you want, but if someone says they have not had their moon meal yet, they get cuts. They are generous. They grow the mushrooms and vegetables all here in the trucks or pick up from local sources but the snake is on their home world, imported in marinated chunks. Don't ask them how they make something unless you are willing to sit with them till dawn. “After a couple skeweres we will wander on but around 3am we'll come back for desert. They have more fruits then you can imagine and they all go on skewers in between sweet marinated snake. Margot has taken Moon Meal and approves. I have one of her personal plates that makes Moon Skewers.” “They take drinks eagerly. Not in trade for Moon Meal, since that is cultural for them, but its a nice reciprocity. Don't worry about popping open that bottle of Pappy with them tonight but if you are around for another Moon Meal, bring it along.” “They are friendly, giving, cooperative, faithful, and will cut your throat at a moments notice if they think it needs cutting or if one of their leaders tells them to. Bear in mind, I am one of their leaders. The Maandansers are masters of disguise as well and when off duty like to dress like locals and mingle. They cut down on local thieves. They practice Putpocketing. If you catch one of their eyes they will fuck you like a whirlwind. Gender preferences for mating is personal with them, not cultural but luckily they take no for an answer.. Some of them are big burly men and can be quite eager.” “So...ready for Moon Meal? “
