Her hair is black and straight, worn long and held together with a clasp made of silver and coral. Her hand bears small nicks and cuts from working her trade. Her clothing is simple, whatever is typical for women in the region of decent make. She arrived a few months earlier to work in the worskshop of the trade association her family is one of the foremost members of, and has had to put up with a number of uncles, aunts, distant cousins and hangers on, most of whom seem eager to suggest good marriage suggestions to strengthen the association. Personally, she prefers to head out onto the ocean alone for some quiet, to dive and search for useful coral or nice shells. She has not really made any friends as yet, she doesn't speak the language though manages Trade well enough and is generally rather withdrawn. She is 20. She is a widow. She married at around 14 or so, not a love match but her husband was a decent sort. They had a son when she was 17 but child and husband were lost during a storm a year later (yes, confirmed dead - not mysteriously vanished to pop up later). According to custom, a widow has more leeway in choosing a new husband (though there will be lots of badgering if she takes too long) and more control over her life than previously. Lovers are ok if descreetly handled, she manages her own money and so on. Generally husbands, fathers or brothers would control money and important decisions for both young girls and married women - in practice this varies wildly depending on the family. Widows are freer in this regard. Ineya has accepted to go to Cinnibar after gentle badgering. Her family is getting impatient about her not choosing a new man and hope someone will catch her interest in town. Ineya herself hoped she'd get away from all the well-meaning but annoying relatives for a while, not realising they are everywhere. This family has a summer house by the beach in Wellspring, near the raft village where Ineya's family often spent their winters trading when she was young. The two girls, of an age, met by accident when Ineya helped Ansia find her father after she'd got lost exploring the raft village. In gratitude the noble family accepted the friendship, perhaps also recognising the possible future value of the connection between the raft clan and the noble house. At any rate, the girls hit it off and became fast friends and have remained so. No particular trade benefits have come of their friendship, and Ansia as a daughter of a minor Noble house has little direct influence to be of much aid should Ineya need it. Still, Ansia is an intelligent young woman (and both richer and prettier than Ineya) so could probably pull some strings. They have taken up the, to Ineya, rather exotic and refined habit of corresponding by letter. Ineya trusts Ansia implicitly.
