== Background ==

The youngest member and scion of the small [[Jin Shen]] Clan, Iron Seraph was raised by his aunts and his [[Elder Uncle]] (ie. his grandfather´s brother) after the death of his parents. The Jin Shen have a long tradition of Daoist mysticism, a self-imposed duty of counteracting demonic influences in the Land of the Gods. Unfortunately, one of their enemies - a powerful lord whose own boundless ambition had infected him
with an unprecedented level of Demon Chi - threw a death-curse upon the bloodline as he fell to their blades. Their good deeds would always leave marks and would always make their lives ''very, very'' interesting.
More specifically, their virtuous natures suddenly were cast in a bright light, making them nearly irresistible to whichever person whose love would cause the greatest deal of problems!
Before long, the house was shunned, marginalised and poor.

Seraph arrives at the Wulin Academy both to learn and to continue his familial duty - the Jin Shen are still bound by ancient Imperial edicts to maintain and see to the XX XX Shrine - a small, underground temple that still stands underneath the current Wulin Academy location. No one really wants to disrupt the ageless laws and edicts, so the Jin Shen traditionally has access to the grounds.

== Appearance ==

No two ways around it, Iron Seraph is ''gorgeous''. Slender and beautiful, the silver-gray hair (long bangs constantly fallinginto and obscuring parts of his face) of his ancestry does very little to dissuade endless scores of schoolgirls (or boys) from going weak in the knees and harboring elaborate romantic fantasies about being his one and true love - or possibly something a little more earthy than that. Serious of demeanour, he is reported to be able to brood for hours. The gunmetal gray of his eyes is exchanged for a luminous blue when he exercises the Internal Kung Fu of his family, the Daoist ''Empty of Concepts'' art.
