First swaggers Xenos , the trickster  captain,  toting the severed head of a gorgon. Behind him strides giant Polypoetes, swirling his cyclops thighbone club. The amazons Gunea and Elia slink like leopardesses along the quay with bows still nocked. Symian the Atlantean mentalist, and  Ajax the Dedalusian school inventor are among the returning throng.
 
Monster corpses-a basilk, harpy and serpent head- are borne ashore by the twelve Spears of Antiphus, the hand-picked sailor/fighters who the Photos’ main crew.
 
Gunea and Elia approach the Dragonfly tossing their raven black hair.
 
 
“ Putting off? Good fortune, little ones. Who knows , in time you may prove yourselves worthy of the Photos, should enough kleos be accrued . Kill monsters, bring back treasure…“
 
 
“Ha ha, ” booms towering Polypoetes. “Perhap you  should aspire to one of the other two great ships. The gods cannot touch all with greatness. Look-you are loading the black loaves made the baker Lyades. My favourite.  Give me that basket for our victory feast!”
