The foce of it almost knocked him off the table until someone ‘unplugged’ him form the wires. He doesn’t remember much about his creator, just the sight of a tall dark man leaving the warehouse in a hurry, almost ashamed of what had been made. Still recovering from waking up on the slab, he stumbled after the figure, but lost him amongst the industrial pipes and clutter of the area. Wandering, he came upon a homeless camp squatting in the industrial park. They took him in, clothed him and named him – J.R., from the tatoo on his right arm. This would be a decision that the camp would regret as the Disquiet would enflame petty grudges and rivalries until the remainder of the squatters finally chased J.R. out of their home. Alone, with a body made up of mismatched pieces and memories in his head that didn’t belong to him, J.R.set out west, picking the direction at random. Aybe on the road, away from people, he’d be able to figure out who he was. Maybe out there he’d be able to find the tall man and get some answers out of him.
