Kalinka grew up living the lie that she could ascend the throne of the now defunct Russkan Empire. It's true that her mother was empress. But her father wasn't emperor, and so far as she knows, he never claimed her as his daughter. Still, with the support of the right noblemen, and the right army at her back, she could potentially ascend the throne and bring the decades long civil wars and balkanization to an end. Stranger and more unlikely things have happened. Pragmatically though, it would likely take the help of hell itself for her to ascend.
