Back to [[Minor Clan Schools]] =The Kitsune Bushi School= by Kitsune Akemasu Since the Fox were forced off the lands of the Kirin by the Lion, they have become stronger, and their shugenja are now recognized by Rokugan as a force to be reckoned with. But what of Bushi? Not all Fox can speak with the Kami, so, over time, a rather small Bushi school was developed, a school, which few of outside the clan know of. Originally, the school was designed with the intention that when the Ki-rin returned, they would have a school waiting for them. :'''Starting Honor''': 2.0 boxes. :'''Starting skills''': Kenjutsu, Meditation, Hunting, Herbalism, Athletics, Any one bugei skill. :'''Benefit''': +1 agility. :'''Starting outfit''': Katana, Wakizashi, Any one weapon, Light Armor (camo colored), Yumi, 20 arrows of each type, Kimono, Traveling pack, 2 koku :'''Speical notes''': The Fox Bushi school is even less prestigious than its shugenja school, and those who attend it start with zero glory. '''Techniques''' '''Rank 1: The Fox is silent''' :The Bushi is taught the way of using colored clothing as camouflage to search for a better advantage. The Bushi may substitute his Hunting for any Stealth Role, and does not loose honor for using it. '''Rank 2: The Fox is Cunning''' :The Bushi trains in the mindset of his animal counterparts, using brain over brawn. The Bushi may add his intelligence to attack and damage roles. '''Rank 3: The Fox is Swift''' :The Bushi has mastered the speed of the predator. He may now make two attacks per round. '''Rank 4: The Fox is Patient ''' :The Bushi has now learned to take his time in order to attain better results. If the Bushi chooses to spend one round preparing (taking no action), then next round he gains a number of Free raises equal to his void. In an Iaijutsu Duel, the fox may pass on an opportunity to strike to lower his next TN to hit by 5. '''Rank 5: When Cornered, the Fox Fights''' :When there is no way to escape, a fox will turn and fight, regardless of the odds. The same is True for a Bushi. If there is no practical avenue of escape (e.g., a tunnel heading away, an open field behind the Bushi. A Route that would cause almost certain death does not count) the Bushi may go on full attack without affecting his TN to be hit.
