Wu was always a trouble person, chosen by the spirits when she was only 8, she train daily to meet their demand. Anytime she doesn't meet up to their standard they punish her village harshly with disaster and disease. The only thing she could do to get back at them is through deals and pacts, so she learn to speak in riddle and proverb like the spirits. She became really good at getting the most out of a spirits, less and less of them try to make deal with her, leaving only the powerful and arrogance one for her to exploit.

This was her daily life for a while, she was depise by both her community for bringing misfortune to them and the spirits because of her ruthlessness.

== Worst Nightmare ==

Wu been in America for a while now, and she still haven't find Xiao, even after posting poster of them, hiring detective, and even getting the involment of criminals. Part of her hope they're okay, and not hurt, but she couldn't shake the feeling that something is wrong with Xiao.

Sometime she dream of Xiao, they're standing on a dark beach, the water raging and there seem to be a storm coming. Xiao telling Wu to stop trying to find them, and that they don't want anything to do with china or spirit anymore. Everytime she try to speak her mouth feel like it's getting sew shut, when she try to move, her body feel more heavier than a mountian. As she see Xiao slowly walking beneath the ocean wave, as the storm consume her.

But people and spirits still make deal with her anyway, the human are attracted to Wu mysterious charm, while the spirits want to prove their superiority. The only person who she seem to care for is Xiao, who is also marked by the spirits, but unlike Wu they're part spirits themselves. Forsaken from their village Xiao live in the wood close to where Wu live, they became fast friend.

-But on Xiao 20th birthday, they decided to go to America for new oppotunity that her homeland couldn't offer, and they can finally leave behide this past. That night, Wu manage to let Xiao into a boat going to America without the spirits noticing them. Xiao often send letter to Wu telling her all about the amazing site of america, its people, and the culture.
-But after 3 years of letter Xiao suddenly stop, the last letter that they send only telling her that they're going to Colrando, to find the "prize jewel of the west". After a year of nothing, Wu finally decide to go after Xiao, Wu manage to trick the spirits into accepting that she will be gone for a while to find Xiao, not knowing that she will be in another continent, where their power doesn't have  any influence over her.
