Morris Thorn was born to Lord Wolfgang Thorn ,the younger brother of Lady Katerine Thorn, and Lady Tasha Thorn, who married into the family from House Pine in an effort to smooth over some bad blood that had been building between the two houses and prevent infighting that would weaken the houses. This mixed with the fact the Morris wasn't blooded made it so the some members of the house saw him as less than to the point where they wouldn't allow their children to play with Morris as he was growing up. This left Morris with very few friends and so he decided to dedicate himself to showing people he was worth something.

This lead to Morris learning training heavily in combat. Morris was always doing what he could to improve his skills when he wasn't practicing he enjoyed watching the fencing matches between some of the lords. Morris's parents loved and encouraged him but it seemed moor out of pity than pride. this was reinforced when they had another 2 children twin brother and sister, Rachael and Evenon Thorn both of which where blooded and both of which received more and more praise and attention.

At first Morris just tried ignoring this and continued to do his best to earn recognition he entered into competitions with the other young lords and would sometimes even win(However not that often as most of the contest catered to the blooded) but even this didn't gain him any more favor within the house, although it did earn him the attention of Joshua Greyhal a lieutenant of one of the divisions posted on the border to help keep the Eskarn from causing to much trouble. Joshua put in a good word for Morris to his superiors with out Morris knowing but when the chance came for Morris to join the defense of Narcroft and the rest of Tarn he seized the opportunity.

At the age of 15 Morris left his home to join the brave men defending his country. when he got there he spent his first year getting adjusted doing drills going on patrols normal things he  never actually saw any real combat. He was also the youngest person there and had trouble finding anyone who he could call a compatriot. But as Morris' second year rolled around he started to see more battle he got to experience real combat and as he fought in real combat bit by bit he earned peoples respect, which to Morris was an amazing feeling. However this would not last as towards the middle of his fourth year there A new member joined his division. But not as a new recruit as Morris had but as a commander, what made it worse was the fact that it was Morris' cousin the youngest son of Katerine Thorn, Eugene Thorn. This pissed of Morris more than anything in his life that Eugene had gotten the fast track just because he was a blooded noble and at the end of his 5th year there Morris challenged Eugene to a fair marshal duel no blood just there skill as warriors. It started out pretty even with Morris edging out more and more until Eugene cheated and used his blood. Morris lost and in his defeat decided to leave. He returned to Narcroft with  only the barest of welcomes from his family and few others he reaffirmed that he would try even harder to not only gain respect but demand it from all around him. Leading him to make the descion to work as an agent of the house where he could work outside the bias military.
