'''Miracle menu for [[Lotus_and_Allium:Perfection|Saïd Mechkar, Power of Perfection]]''' Miracles: I'd like Saïd's perfection to work on three axes, the main one being the idea of perfection. To Saïd, perfection's an ideal, not something that does actually exist. I'd like him to be able to affect the ideal. I think Perfection also affects the « health » of objects (how destroyed they are), and how well they are doing their job. The domain's main limitation is it can't really create something out of nothing. It has to work from something existing to either perfect or degrade it. If i'm overreaching, please tell me, i'll work on it. ''Level 0''
Know if the idea of perfection is under attack: someone could be trying to ruin plato's reputation or ideas, someone could be spreading the idea there is no « perfect ideal » we should strive for, etc.
Hear prayers. ''Level 1, Ghost miracles''
Projects the image of the « perfect » version of an object over that object
Make something have a « sheen » of perfection (that changes nothing except for a fugitive impression; maybe it's slightly shinier)
Make someone reflect briefly on something (or someone else)'s perfection
''Level 2, Lesser divinations''
Know how someone evaluates something, how perfect they think that thing is
Know what characteristics someone expect from the perfect version of a given item: a razor-sharp knife with barbs to hurt even more
Know how well something is doing its job just by looking at it (but not why it is malfunctionning, if it is)
Know how broken something is just by looking at it (but, once again, not what exactly is broken)
''Level 3, Lesser preservations''
Sustains someone's first impression
Prevents things from getting worn out with usage
Prevent the health of someone from deteriorating from sickness, physical attacks, etc. ''Level 4, Lesser creations''
Make something work better
Mend something broken or deteriorated
Make someone consider something as perfect
Restore someone's failed health
Improve the performance of an athlete, the beauty of a model, or the main characteristics of a person ''Level 5, Lesser destructions''
Wear something out
Make something work badly
Break something
Reduces someone's opinion of something (or someone else)
Make someone fall sick
''Level 5, Major divinations''
Know someone's general tastes (what they consider perfect)
Know the collective trends of what people of a country or region consider perfect
Know what someone has to do to perfect themselves, or what to do to an object to perfect it
Know who was the « most perfect » person to enter a bar (according to patrons, according to a specific person, or objectively, according to specific criterions)
Know what cultural trends or values will rise in the future
''Level 6, Lesser changes''
Make someone's tastes change completely (he used to love tall blondes, now he has it for bald midgets)
Changes the ideals of a crowd, or a clique. Make goths think tan is what to strive for, for example
Changes what characteristics a specific item must have to be « perfect. » This TV set needs to have a « cook » function to be perfect.
''Level 6, Major preservations''
Prevent someone from ageing or becoming sick ever
Make an item indestructible
Maintain a fad so it becomes a actual cultural value. Being perfect is mastering a yoyo.
In the same vein, preserving someone's fifteen minutes of fame into being an actual cultural icon. « Bob the fireman who saved a class from a fire is now the exemplar of courage. »
''Level 7, Major creations''
Turn someone into a complete athlete, or a brilliant PHD
Create a cultural icon from nowhere. « Lucy Bloopin is the woman we all want to be. »
Make an item work perfectly « this tv's reception is so clear you feel you were there. »
Create the vision of perfection from someone: Bob's perfect woman, or Stradivarius's perfect violin
''Level 8, Major Destructions''
Destroy cultural icons: for example Marilyn Monroe is no longer THE sex symbol, but just an OK actress.
Make someone be irremediably imperfect: no matter who they meet, what they do, they're the exact opposites of what they should be, and do the exact opposites of what's expected of them.
Make someone have no taste: everyone and everything feels the same to them.
Destroy a cultural ideal: tanned or muscled is no longer something people try to be.
''Level 9, Major Changes''
Change the general tastes of perfection
Make perfection a balm you rub on things or people
Changes what attributes an item (or person) must possess to be considered perfect
