Artificer, Ritualist and Inventor will not be useful. Don't bother.
 
 
Knowledge (Arcane Lore) works differently. Each subject in the Academy count as a single Knowledge skill, such as Knowledge (Summoning) or Knowledge (Potions). Knowledge (Arcane Lore) gives you a general sense on the "Arcane Scene" - who is who, what magic belongs to what subject, things like that.
