The actual school exists in a pocket dimension, with its entry at the Yu-Shan. The academy is dedicated in improving the relationship between humans and non-humans, by teaching its non-human students how to use their powers to help and protect people. The school has a relatively open teaching schedule, with "basic class" like Math or History trim down to minimum to give student time to do their own research and study. Another major attraction of the academy is its open practice of various brands of magic. Almost all members of the faculty is a magic user of some sort, and the "special class" the students can take are mostly mystic profession of these occult teachers: Evocation, Divination, Alchemy and Enlightened Science are all optional classes a student can take as they like. The school assignments often include taking down dangerous monsters under supervision of the teachers. In addition to instructing students, the teachers of the academy also conduct researches on how to treat the psychotic impulses of certain non-human through a combination of magic and technology.
