There are many anti-changed hate groups, the largest is "PureHuman" or "PH". Other existing groups like the Ku Klux Klan have jumped on the bandwagon, eager to bash another minority.

The overall situation is not helped by those Changed embracing their powers for their own gain. Some are mere thugs and criminals, some claim that only violence can procure true equality, even proposing forming a nation only for the Changed and some rare individuals believe that the Changed are superior to humans and should rule the world.

===State of the world===

The world of GeneForce resembles much our regular world. The only major differences are brought forth by the history of super-heroes. Vigilantism, while technically still in a gray area of legality, is accepted as long as the vigilante adheres to certain moral standards (no killing, no excessive force etc.).

This of course is the state in any advanced country, and even there mostly in major urban areas. For example: even in rural america it is not unusual to find someone with a special permit to drive fossil-fueled vehicles or possessing an old style flat-screen TV.

====Known Super-Heroes====

Inside the US and in many other countries, the most recognised and famous super-hero is '''Justice Bieber''' (he legally changed his name), a pop idol for many teens (his Beliebers). He had used his vast personal wealth to procure a well-designed power armor. He has so far foiled a few crimes, but they are widely published and their videos on YouPipe have gone instantly viral. Though there are rumors, that all of Justice Bieber's crimefighting is staged with stunt performers as criminals, they have not diminished Bieber's influence over the screaming teenie masses.

The most famous team is the officially recognised S.H.I.T, the Super-Hero Intervention Team. They function as a powered arm for the US government (like the Avengers in modern day comics), though they seem to follow a moral code and are not blind puppets. They call New York City as their homebase, but there is a S.H.I.T. chapter in San Francisco as well.

Almost as famous is the Patriot Brigade, also an official team. They are known for their heavy-handed, "shoot first, ask questions later" approach and their lack of regard for civil rights. They operate mainly out of Minneapolis.

There is also the Washington Patriots, a team of Supers, protecting Washington D.C.
