Effect: The character is able to absorb the damage from. physical. mental, magic or energy-based attacks (chosen when the power is purchased).  Whenever the character takes damage from the appropriate source, she may spend one Verve and make an activation roll; each success absorbs one level of damage, reducing the amount of damage dealt by the attack by one.

 +
God Machine Chronicle Rules Variant: The power requires no activation role, instead treat the rating in this power as general armor against the appropriate attack type.

Extras:

Versatile - Character may absorb damage from an additional damage category.
 +
 +
Boosting - In addition to reducing damage, the character gains one dot in an attribute (chosen when the power is purchased) for every two levels of damage successfully absorbed (bashing, lethal, or aggravated). The maximum amount by which a character may increase her Attributes is equal to the number of dots in Absorption the character possesses.  Additional dots gained from Absorption last for one scene.

Charging - Every three levels of damage absorbed produces one verve for the character.
