Grandma, gardener, babysitter, churchgoer, and belle of the weekly breakfast banquet held in her building, Janine Miller is every bit the devoted grandmother she appears to be. Well, she is every bit a devoted grandmother, but a bit more than that. See, about four decades ago, Janine Attwood (before she took on her late husband's name) was better known as Miss Green, the young, flashy protector of Harlem, whose commitment to nonviolent methods in combatting crime won her local fame, although she was always quick to keep mum as to her true identity. 

Four decades is a long time, though, and since then, Janine has led a relatively stable home life - two kids, a good job as an elementary school teacher, but last year, as her husband passed and her children left the nest, there was an old itch in her hands again, Her thoughts flew to the costume still locked away in her closet, the memories of fighting crime and getting justice. Still, she put those thoughts away for a while, but she began to check her HeroNet account (a courtesy still offered to retired heroes) a little bit more often, musing about the possibilities.

In the end, Gargoyle's video proved to be her spur into action. If no one else would step up, she had to - what about the children?
