Mandy was born in NY city in the home of the Smiths. THe same home that her father's father was born in. The entire family is a dedicated Fire Fighting family. Back at least as long as there has been a Manhattan there has been the Smiths fighting fires. It is rumored that Mandy's great, great Grandfather was a member of the Fuller Street Fire Brigade back in the 1800's. She went into the Fire Acadamy straight out of high school with a chip on her shoulder to prove to her father that a woman can be an effective fire fighter. He had arranged for her to get married and make lots of little smiths for the family. Dad was convinced that she was legit when she saved her little brother Mikky.  She has many comendations and takes great pride in her family and her occupation.

January 25th, 2005

Ok, it's been a few years. I have survived a plane crash, been drugged for four years, lost my family, and now I'm homeless in DC.  It sound's like a damn dark noir novel, that I should be walking down the night streets with a cigerette dangling out of my mouth and rot gut in my belly.  Still, its not so bad that I can't find something to do. Like rescue people, help them, save them from their own dangers.  The fire truck that rocketed by was my "Sign from GOD", it's siren echoing my internal dialog of screams.  I see a convinence store, booze and clove cigs, that's what I need.  
Stepping in, I find a small Korean clerk hounded by a bunch of black 'bangers...neet.  All I wanted was some lovin' from Johnny Walker Red and to suck on a damn clove, but no, I have to listen to these bastards.  Let me just say, beating the shit out of a bunch of gangsters is very theraputic.  I left the shop mostly intact, what more do you want?  I did pick up the broken shelves when I was done with them.
Now it's off to Athens, GA in a stole-RENTED compact car to rescue a black woman who is being burned alive by a group of hate crime loving kids. I already controled the fire to burn the ring leader, that's the last time THAT 14 year old sets any fires. NOw I'm after the rest. NO ONE starts any fires on MY watch, no-one.

I did it. I crossed the line, and made a move that will change things. Maybe for the better, but knowing my luck, probably not. THe girl was dead, melted, a shapeshifter and most likely a Survivor. Bastards burned her alive, and she lost the fight to live in my arms. "Death for a Death".  That's what I said when I snapped ... it's... neck. Not human to kill? BUll shit, what he did wasn't human. To feel the anger and dispair of standing beside a death of one of my people, THAT"S FUCKING HUMAN! They call us Gods, I take that to heart. I can save many more now, I can be a force for humanity, for good. But that's what it is, I AM A FORCE. Call me a God, I am one. Make me see the light, blind me to the truth. It doesn't mattter, I will take the reigns of justice.

-FEBRUARY 9TH
-Well, my past took little time to catch up to me.  I was arrested by Agent Marks, then had to save is ass during a sniper attack. Yes, it was provoced by that lovely siren Beth. My not so sane roomate. I had found work with the DCFD, takeing make up corses and training to learn the new advances in fire fighting. I had finally found a family again, found a way to deal with my abilities in a meaningful way, no more vigilante justice for me. Nope, I was going back to the way I was before all this happened. But I left evidence behind in Georgia. I damn near left an arrow pointing directly back to DC there. It took NTAC little time to find me. And now, I find Agent Marks slapping cuffs on me and talking to me like I was a delinquent gang banger. It can't be helped. I surrendered peacefully.
-Now, after saving a few lives and watching Jack die and be saved by my actions. He was hit by a sniper, damn them all to hell.  I have to present myself to the Vice President, I think handcuffed and unarmed.  Then I will face my fate, I may be the first Survivor to be jailed or worse. I think Georgia is a capital punishment state.  But I'm willing to see what happens. I will wait and see.
