Marcus is a sour-faced bruiser but has a cool head and a natural understanding of guns and gunnery. With his trenchcoat hiding a shotgun, and a souwester his face, he blends into the background. An instinctive Mule-driver, he runs it quiet and hidden. Marcus can get anything you want, supplies, documents, you name it. There's nothing Chinese about Marcus: Chong is a cover. He was a fastidious Quartermaster for the Alliance but things got tight and he quit. He's not seen his wife since, and has heard his daughter is all grown up, an Alliance agent, so he's heard.

*"Name's Marcus Chong," says the '''redheaded''' man with the '''friendly face'''. "Have a '''cigar''', '''plenty more where that came from'''." He shucks his '''trenchcoat''' and '''souwester''', revealing a '''shotgun''' and a '''large knife''' "Yah,''' I know all about the Alliance''', '''was one of them''' until '''things got tight''' and '''I had to quit'''. I '''drive a Mule''' now, '''got contacts'''. '''Quartermaster''', you know, and I can double as '''ship's gun''', '''I can get you documents.'''
