Marcus is the ships cook, and a surprisingly good one, despite the fact that Giff are herbivores, and ruminants at that. You just need to make sure that someone else keeps an eye on him while buying supplies, of the hold will end up full of hay. Marcus is pompous, thick-skinned but basically good natured. Like all Giff he has a deep and abiding love for large explosions, and in combat is usually found operating the ship's artillery, or firing his blunderbuss with great enthusiasm. And if all else fails, a cast iron pan backed with Giffish strength usually suffices. Now if only you could stop him putting gunpowder in the soup..
