Danger +2, Freak +1, Savior +1, Superior -1, Mundane +0 Moves: DOOM Melissa is turning into some kind of undead queen. It's brought closer by Frightening Loved Ones and by Injuring Innocents. Doom Track: Doomsigns: Burning Bright (Use Doom Track to ignore a requirement to use the Sanctuary's powers) Sanctuary: Thorn Manor, once Jame's Thorn's lair, now passed on to Melissa, is a huge, gothic manor that's basically creepy as all get-out. Features: A library of valuable tomes, an aide (Charmondaly, a sardonic butler clearly made of spare parts), art, music and food (provided by ghostly servants) Downsides: Draws dangerous attention, tied intricately to your doom When did you first learn of your doom? The first new moon after defeating Thorn, Melissa first felt Ruthven's icy hand on her soul, trying to drive her to slake her thirst on the innocent. Where did you get your sanctuary? From James Thorn. It's now in Melissa's name, legally, because magic. Why do you oppose your nemesis? Melissa does not want to become an inhuman monster preying on the innocent, thankyouverymuch. Who, outside of the team, is crucial to defeating your nemesis? Dawn Rosebright, a classmate of Melissa's, who Ruthven thinks would make a lovely first-innocent-kill for Melissa. Ruthven has more motives than simply corrupting Melissa here. Why does the team matter to you? Because by being around other superbeings Melissa's age, she can feel like maybe there's a way to be this powerful and yet remain human.
