=The Premise=


Your characters are crew for a Scavenger Lord, Amon Jerixs, in the West. You have come to the Island of Prescia where Amon is going to sell his latest find, and pay you back wages.


Prescia is a amazing place, where the coral reefs form valuable metals that the islanders mine with specially designed barges. The waters around the island are dirty and gray with mining tailings, and the fisherman must travel hours beyond the reefs in order to find healthy sea life that is safe to eat.


Three days ago Amon stumbled into the main square, after going to see his buyer. He did not look well, because he was dead. He attacked several people before the town guard put him down. Suspicion fell on you and you were rounded up and detained; but before you could be cleared and released, those Amon had attacked had quickly sickened and died and then rose up as the walking dead themselves.


Those who could flee have. The Fishing boats that might take everyone to safety have not returned. There are fewer and fewer living on the island, and more and more dead.


You have once chance.


Amon's ship, hidden in a cove, might take you to safety, but it will only sail if Amon's magic stone is placed in the wheel house. The stone was not on him when he was killed. He told you that he was going to speak with his buyer, on the old mansion on the other side of the island.


=The Scavenger Son=


A little bit about Amon Jerixs.


He came from Skull Stone, or from Nexus, he is the bastard offspring of a Dragon Blood, he is the child of the Fair Folk... There were a lot of stories about him.


In his mid fifties he had been a successful Scavenger Lord for thirty years, and had traveled much of Creation. He wore his years well, easily capable of keeping up with those half his age. He had many adventures and gained and lost many fortunes.


His ship, the ''Six Lucky Stories'', was an amazing craft, even the slightest wind would fill her sails, and even on windless days they would flutter enough to keep the ship moving forward at a crawl. The wood of her hull was amazingly strong and has survived damage that might have snapped a lesser ship in two.


Recently he was hired to travel far into the west where he skirted the Border Marches until her came to an island, forgotten by time, called Grace. On it was vast structure, from an age long gone, a Hospital for the Criminally Insane, or a Prison the Criminally Genius, he called it both.


Grace was dangerous, several crew members died as they explored the ancient structure. Deep within, past surgical theaters of horror and cramped looking cells, they found what Amon had been commissioned to find. A vast sarcophagus of Jade and iron, trimmed with soul steel. It was sealed, and none of you ever managed to see inside of it.


It was taken back to the ship, and then to the Island where Amon's client awaited. He took the sarcophagus, three crew members, and a wagon. That was the last you saw of him, until he showed up in the village, a walking dead man.
