==Mortus, The Living Death==

Mortus was a victim of the war, just like so many others. Only he secretly envies most victims. He was a grand experiment for Carrion, a villain specializing in disease. The villain envisioned the perfect formula to create disposable biological weapons, designed to infect the V'sori with potent cocktails of withering diseases.

Unfortunately, while the serum worked, it didn't go as planned. It was too strong, and resulted in giving Mortus a deadly disease with melted both flesh and inanimate matter like so much wax. And even worse, it was too potent; Anything he touched or breathed on was infected.

Realizing the potential danger Mortus posed (mainly to himself), his creator constructed a special containment suit for him, specially treated to ensure his powers could not eat through it. Mortus was then abandoned, left to eventually die in his armored prison, until Dr. Destruction offered him the chance to work for him; inflict himself on the V'sori, or stay buried in a mad doctor's lab until he died. The choice was simple then.
