==Malek's Crossing==

Malek's Crossing is not a large town – this is not by coincidence, it is by design. Sitting on the River of Tears, roughly equidistant from Sijan and Marin Bay, it is a convenient place to do business. A place where soldiers of the 7th Legion, merchants from Nexus and Dynasts of the Realm can meet in one of the town’s private villas, or riverside tea houses to discuss business best communicated through unofficial channels. Deals were made here that would make no history books, and the town’s ruler, an elderly Outcaste named Montojo grew rich off the coin of information, and the informal gentleman’s agreement that governed the city and kept the peace.
