In the afternoon of 10 September, Bertie launches the cover for our cunning plan: taking out the ladies of the evening to a picnic on the lakeside, only to have their pleasure boat stolen by 'gypsies' in the twilight.  Whereupon we arrive on the island of Lake Bled under cover of darkness and with the aid of a magical music box that enhances our magical/channelling abilities, we battle the imps keeping the chapel there. Inside the chapel we find another horrific human gate and destroy it, putting the victim out of his misery. All but one of the imps are killed, and one of them tries unsuccessfully to call forth etheric ribbons to steal away the music box.  Anton and Valerie stage a stunning air bombardment of the Rembecki's castle by means of Ascenders and we mop up the last of the resistance at the island chapel preparatory to reconsecration of the grounds.
