Back to [[The hidden face of Omnicorp]] Even besides their employment of Dr. Trick, Omnicorp has a long history of working with supervillains and villainous organizations. This all ties in with Li's quest for sources of power. [[Shadow]] have been working with Omnicorp for years. For all its power, Shadow has always had difficulties gathering resources without attracting unwanted attention. For many years now, Omnicorp has acted as the organization's corporate sponsor - it provides Shadow with money and high-tech equipment, and Shadow executes various tasks for them. In fact, it has become a standard strategy for Omnicorp to let Shadow take the blame for the company's doing - which suits both just fine (both the public and law enforcement would be shocked to discover how much of Shadow's actions since the late 90s was, in fact, done by Omnicorp). [[Global Might]] began as an initiative of George Li. He manipulated Megalopolis's gangs into giving superpowers to a member Li considered reliable; [[Mordor]], acting under Li's orders, then set out to contact several elite supervillains across the world with Shadow's help (it ought to be noted that other members were also powered up by Omnicorp - [[Reaper]] received his scythe from them, and they gave [[Jack of all Trades]] the chip that empowers him). The goal was for Omnicorp to have influence over and access to some of the world's greatest supervillains, creating a counterpoint to the [[Global Champions]]. While Omnicorp doesn't outright control Global Might, it has much influence on it, through both Mordor and Jack of all Trades - that the group's first major operation was a strike on [[Venture City]] only followed logically. [[Professor Cryo]] is certainly no friend of George Li, but they have at times been allies of convenience. During the Second Battle of the Cryosphere, Li contacted the Professor, offering Omnicorp's assistance in exchange for some key pieces of Cryosphere technology. His back against the wall, Cryo accepted, and Omnicorp troops stormed the battleground, gaining enough time for Cryo to win. Nevertheless, the two evil geniuses consider each other no less a threat to their plans than the superheroes themselves. Other than that, most supervillains in the world are unaware of Omnicorp's criminal nature - after all, George Li wouldn't trust most of them to keep their mouths shut.
