Priktor is a third-generation catfolk who had originally made his home in Kaybridge with his family. When the Rising happened, he and his parents survived the Great Journey and re-settled down in Ironheart Valley with some neighbors, some strangers. His grandfather, unfortunately, did not, though he wouldn't be aware of this until someone asked him who he was talking to.

Without realising it, something about his circumstances also invited some older ancestors into his life, a few of whom were miffed about having their remains left behind in what used to be Kaybridge. His great-great-grandmother, a powerful spellcaster back in her day, tasked Priktor to carry their remains (or at the very least, a treasured family heirloom) so that they could be at peace once more.
