Wallowing in spite and having abandoned humanity (though not becoming one of the Hundred-handed), he sought a companion, and killed a Gymnast (I'm picturing the sort of person who works at Cirque di Soeli, works with their body enough to keep it in amazing shape, but fundamentally more about expressing and performing than pure athletic feats.) taking their body to form a lover. This worked, for about three years, where they lived together and Persephone(the name was bestowed on him, his creator liked it, and wanted to intentionally give him a name that would raise eyebrows among humans, the better to prevent Persephone from seeking them out) learned the basics of his condition and various methods of survival. Finally something happened to drive them apart, the movement of humans and Persephone's fascination with them. A fight occurred and he broke free and ran off. Within a year or so, he found his way into the throng (which was the first place he learned about the great work, though he'd been studying humans by instinct.)
