One of the first reality hacking events in the Apocalypse-Wow Years -- although at the time no one knew this -- the overnight cure of 19 HIV-positive children interned at the intensive care ward of the Mount Ararat Children Hospital, in Yerevan, Armenia, became one of the main symbols of the beneficial effects of the hacking movement and proved instrumental in battling the fear spread by the terrorist attacks of the Ravagers. On May 29th, 2009, during the morning rounds, the medical staff at the hospital was surprised to see all of the 19 children, who were suffering from several immunodeficiency-induced diseases until the night before, completely healthy. Tests revealed no signs of illnesses and no HIV copy was detected in their blood. The media soon found out about the incident and the whole affair became a circus. Everything from miracle to malpractice was used to explain the bizarre phenomenon. Armenian, and later international, authorities became involved, but after several months, the investigators could not prove any of the accusations against the medical staff, since all the technical data supported the information that the children were indeed HIV-positive before May 29th. The only definite clue the investigation teams had was the disappearance of one of the ordelies, Eshkhan Gourgoian, on the same day the children were cured. However, nothing came out of it since no one could locate Gourgoian. There were no files or records about him anywhere. It seemed as everything concerning this Armenian man has been erased from the planet, a supposition that was proven right after the Silver Runaways Incident. -- Quentin Jerusalem
