'''Description:''' The soul binding has left Rook blind, bald and looking far older then he actually is. Rook’s general clothing consists of heavy blue robes regardless of temperature. A concealed pouch hides his las-pistol. The force staff is continuously held as a walking stick even though he rarely leans on it. Rook has a habit of keeping his non-functioning milky-while eyes half open. He opens them fully when either something has taken his interest or he wants to threaten. 

'''History:''' Rook was born on an imperial ship called “The Impetuous” that had been left immobile but still functioning due to a mutiny two generations ago. While the decedents had not become feral life was very violent. The ship divided itself into gangs. Rook was part of the gang called the Steel Wings. Just like many places that are so removed from the Golden Throne, Chaos managed to worm its way into the ship inhabitants, half the Steel wings were cultists. However the rot hadn't spread so far as to completely damn the entire ship and a ship-wide war ensured in order to purge the cult. However Chaos is also subtitle and while the cult crushed, the imperial creed had been altered to dangerous levels.
When Rook was 15 the Impetuous was found by an Imperial Navy scout vessel. Since the rate of mutations was low the inhabitants were found suitable for ‘service’. After a brief fire-fight the Impetuous was emptied and sent to crew another ship while the Impetuous was brought to a shipyard for repairs. 
Rook had the unique ‘nack’ for judging what other people felt; during the press-ganging his latent physic potential was discovered. Rook escaped the mass press-ganging for a cage in the infamous black ships. Rook was one of the small fraction of the uncounted millions that was suitable for soul binding. 
He found himself on the rogue trader ship after a series of backroom deals diverted some Astropaths towards the dynasty. 

'''Personality:''' Rook is rather kind and caring, unnervingly so. Some people mentioned that this attitude seems forced. Like he is trying to forget the person he was. Only time will tell if this act can be maintained. The brighter the light shines the deeper the shadows.
