The Play Case was a surprise gift from Prince Caine at the time of her walking the pattern.  She had very little contact with Caine but knew him as a fellow musician.  He said he had not used the case in centuries and though if she was going to travel shadow as a musician it might come in hand.

**Gonzala's dogtag shifts Shadow Reality around her to make Low Order magic more difficult. It isn't a single permanent change, but a gradual shifting alteration so that even if a mage notices that magic works differently for her and casts their spell to match the shifting effect will eventually interfere with the spell. It has no effect on magics based on a real power such as Pattern and it won't interfere with permanently enchanted items. The effect covers Gonzala, anything she's carrying or wearing and anything she touches with the dogtag.

Gonzala Hayduke is a daughter of Benedict. At this point in her life she's just starting to become disillusioned with her father and Amber in general. She does look up to aunt Fiona who she sees as a strong woman who does what she wants and steers clear of the violence that Gonzala is getting sick of. Benedict didn't just make certain his child knows how to fight. He made sure she knows how to fight wars and how to kill. She's good at it, but it isn't what she wants for herself. Finally getting the chance to spend time in Shadow after taking the Pattern, Gonzala has been a bit wild. She fell in with rock and roll musicians and using the same drive and innate talent she got from her father she became an amazing guitarist. She has also started to smoke, drink, and indulge in illicit substances often seeking out large quantities and/or extremely potent varieties to overcome her amazing tolerance.

Gonzala isn't taking the whole Bunny Free situation too seriously. She has promised Fiona that she'll rescue her mom and keep an eye on Brand. Gonzala plans to deal with things quickly and then party down.
