===U.S. Organizations=== '''The Ego Forge''' There are people of iron, and there are people of steel. The vast majority of people are of iron, unforged and weak. The people of steel have chosen to purge themselves of their weaknesses by venturing through the Arches. Therefore they simply better. The Ego Forge posits worship of the self, rid yourself what is holding you back and the world is yours. It has a small following, but receives outside attention as the philosophy is often simplified to Changed supremacy by both critics and followers. The philosophy’s name come from a book self-published by a Changed known as Alloy. Not much is known about Alloy except for philosophical and political posting on their website. There are also, inevitably, comparisons to Nietzsche and Rand, though Alloy, when asked, refuses to grant either even so much as 'inspiration'. Meanwhile, the Objectivists decry the Ego Forge, on the basis that any worship - even of the self - is irrational. '''The Dale-ists''' The name of their group is an in-joke, that they want the entire world to become 'Riverdale'. I.E., they want everyone to go through the Arches. Internally, they admit to being transhumanists, but they try to avoid that label when dealing with the public, as there's a perception attached that they want to avoid. '''Church of Jesus Christ, Transformed''' It took about ten days from the first news of someone who'd been transformed before someone decided that Jesus Christ was the First of the Transformed, and set up the Church. It took about another six months before it got more than token attention, even from the media, but in the last two months, its membership has increased significantly. Its message is, at its base, not dramatically different than any of the more liberal Protestant sects, aside from the belief that Jesus actually walked through an Arch on his 30th birthday and thus gained his powers. They believe that the Arches are the first sign of His return, but that the time will not be one of war, but undiluted peace as everyone eventually passes through an Arch and is transformed into their Perfect Form. There are persistent rumors that their HQ in Wichita, Kansas, has an Arch, but if so, no one's ever seen it - or at least, no one will admit to having seen it. '''MERLIN''' Security contractors who train to fight Archies, there's a lot of talk that their CEO Arthur Penn, is an Archie. It's all unsubstantiated, of course.
