==Chief Petty Officer Wenkum== ''A supporting character on the [[Star Trek: Mercury]] game.`` Chief Petty Officer Tuk lorin Wenkum, a male Tellarite, comes from one of the older, busier Tellarite colonies. At first, he studied science and technology, however, during an incident involving the crash landing of a shuttle, Tuk managed to save the lives of everyone on board through quick thinking and his basic first aid training. He received a Special Commendation, and as a result chose to alter his career path to security where he might have a chance to do it again. He has worked aboard numerous starships, working his way up the ranks, for many years. One day, he was present during a teleporter accident, which required that he use is earlier education in Science and Technology to save the poor individual, Junior Petty Officer V'raas, trapped in the stream. The two of them parted ways for a couple of years. Tuk seems to blame V'raas for getting stuck in the beam in the first place, though this stance is absurd. It was simply due to faulty equipment. Before assignement to the Mercury, Tuk was promoted to Chief Petty Officer, and given the position of Flight Controller. However, he also seems to be suffering PTSD from the Teleporter incident, and is required to attend counseling until this is resolved, which he blatantly resents. He values Independence, Rigor, Seniority, and Consistency His talents include a Mean Right Hook, Dauntlessness, Feeling like he's really in his element while working on engineering problems (A Little More Power), and he is clearly a Veteran officer Focuses: Power Systems, Chain of Command, Hand Phaser, Shipboard Tactical Systems, Emergency Medicine, and Small Craft
