As a young man he grew up learning the oral histories of his peoples and others.  He found he had a facility for languages, and this furthered his willingness to learn all that he could.  

When puberty hit, he discovered his powers.  He took that as a blessing from Anansi that he was on the right path, teaching and learning.  He left his village and went out into the world to seek out and collect oral histories.  

While out learning about the world, he came face to face with the evils that were present.  He chose not to turn a blind eye, but instead he volunteered to help combat the enemy threat as he saw it.<BR>
