− | Sam Grayson was a private detective. He imagined he would be like the PIs in the detective novels and old films, rather than the boring truth that his job was mostly helping disgruntled wives prove their husbands were cheating (or vice versa). Sam found long hours and mediocre pay in a career that wasn't quite what he expected, but he was good at it, so he stayed with it. He was somewhat estranged from his parents, who thought he was wasting his life and talents in a crappy job (which, secretly, he agreed with), and was too busy working to develop much of a personal life. No girlfriend, not many friends.

− | Sam's new body is human-sized and human-shaped, though it's obviously metallic and unnatural. He now has a suite of advanced sensors and situational diagnostic computer system installed in his brain (if he still has a 'brain' and he's not the one 'installed' into a computer), and he can disrupt technological devices and project a powerful 'taser field' to stun enemies.
