==Background==

Ronin Crimson was born in a small village in the midwest. Her first memory is being pulled from under the wreckage of a shattered house by an armored man. The whole place had been flattened and she'd been saved by Cyrus Fell, a merc robot ace whose band was on the trail of the raiders that did it. She grew up with her foster father in one merc company after another, along with her sister Corona Green, a fellow rescued orphan. (They both picked names for themselves). She also grew up climbing into the cockpit of every robot she could, declaring she'd be the greatest ace in all of America. Corona took exception, saying that's what she was going to be!

They went from camp mascots to runners to trainees to full-fledged pilots over time. Cyrus retired from combat piloting to run a logistics base out west. The girls' upbringing and competition put them well on the way to their goal. Everything changed after the fall of Tolkeen. They had just finished a harrowing leg of a refugee escort mission. A Coalition recruiter was in town and offered to hire them all away right there and then, at double their usual rates. Ro blew them off there and then. They took this job, it was against the code.

Corona did not see it that way. She'd seen enough of what the Coalition could do. They could join up with the side that had the money, the power, the advanced mechs or they could get plowed under. Corona lead their current company off with the Coalition man, leaving Ronin with a caravan of refugees to get to Castle Refuge alone. It was a harrowing journey, but not as harrowing as it was for the trail of dead monsters and bandits she left in her wake.

Ronin signed up with the Tomorrow Legion there and then, and hopes to find Corona and knock some sense into her. Corona is planning the exact same thing.

Ronin is a human woman in her late teens (She's not exactly sure how old she is, and picked the day she was rescued as her birthday) with red hair she keeps cut short to avoid getting caught in her helmet seal and to provide access to the jacks on the back of her neck. She's 5'4” and whipcord lean. If she's not in her Plastic-Man flight suit, she's dressed to get into it in a hurry, coveralls or cargo shorts and a tank top. She's confident, cocky even and generally lighthearted and casual. Things that go against her code of honor will get a deadly serious response though.
